This book was full of imagination, which sometimes made it hard to follow along with. But Stella and Marigold were fun sisters to read with.

I loved thy is book. As someone who devoured all the American Girl books any time i could find them, their impact on me is deep and long lasting to the point that im finally following my love for history into a career. I loved reading about the ways others have been shaped by these folks and their stories

I'll read anything by Kate DiCamillo . This book (along with her others) never disappointments. This book is an easy read that results in smiles and chuckles. I highly recommend it. Ages 7+.

This book started out a little slow, but then fully sucked me in. I had recently read Kristen Hannah’s The Women, and really appreciate her bringing to light the stories of women during wartime, as well as acknowledging, in both books, the way these contributions have been historically erased. I felt like the different ways of becoming involved as well as the relationship between the two sisters, Isabelle and Vianne, was very skillfully explored.

It was a very nice book and I loved it. I liked to pick my favorite Dot picture and I can paint dots too like Vashti.

This book was 100 percent one of my favorites because of the constant action that always makes you want to read more. There is a lot of romance even though it’s a complicated romance. I love the hardship between the sisters that gets resolved throughout the book. This is a must read after you’ve read the a court of thorns and roses series.

This book was wonderful. I even cried at the end for a dog named Rontu in the book. Even thought this book is historical fiction, I was captivated by O’Dell’s imagination of this young girl’s story and experience completely alone on her island. It even makes me want to learn to survive on my own. I definately recommend this book, not just for children either. It made me reflect and appreciate natural beauty of the Earth and made me want to travel and explore even more. I really loved this read.

I love this book. My favorite part was the mermaid.

It was great to reread this after many years. The book does a fantastic job of capturing the mood and the specific moment of challenge and indecision, grief, and incapacity. At times, it felt a little outdated, but it still holds the power and sadness.

This book was a good end to the four book series. I will read more from this author in the future.
