All the World's a Stage by Boris Akunin is a clever and very entertaining mystery with a great theatrical atmosphere. Fast-moving, witty, and full of intrigue, with Erast Fandorin as engaging as always. A very enjoyable read. Highly recommend.

The First Ghetto by Alexander Lee is a powerful and very well-researched book about the history of the Jews of Venice and the origins of the ghetto. Detailed, but still engaging and very human. An important story of prejudice, survival, and resilience. Highly recommend.
